Superman!!!

These were so much fun!!!  I have a new way of doing people now!  The options are endless!  These were made for a local Pediatrician who played the role of Superman for a local friend this week! I also got to make a bouquet for the nurse and another one for a give-away on Saturday.  My kitchen is a wreck but people are smiling in Monroe, NC!!!!

We went to Carowinds today.  Just the family. We really had a great time.  Wasn't too hot either. I love that I didn't get tired or winded with walking or stairs or anything.  I may not be able to get actual fat cells off me but man am I in shape and from what I hear, I'm a beast.  Not bragging about that but just so wish I could share with everyone who works out to no results like they want to see yet they are physically fit and can lift more than they could ever imagine, to keep it up!!!  It will all work out eventually.  I am telling myself this.  I do my best at what I eat and one day things may turn around.  If not, guess what, this is what God had in store for me.

Be Sweet Cake Pops

Delivery today!  I am excited.  These pops will be traveling to TN!  Three dozen of them.
I have a very large order next week and today I have to finish up another one quite cute for a doctors office!

I love my job! Wait, is it a job?  Why, yes, it is. But, it doesn't feel like it when I love creating things like I do.  My kitchen is always a wreck and my boys never eat but hey, I have happy customers!!!!

This is what I have done today!!! CAKE POP like crazy!!  Working on some for a Bridal Luncheon, a prize, and two for some lucky care givers in our area! I also have a big Bat Mitzvah next week.  All very exciting!

Prascilla Shirer

No, I don't usually do anything like this.  I never really blog about a topic like a Bible Study or something simple but I wanted to today because there is this great opportunity to win a Leader's Kit  for Priscilla Shirer's 'He Speaks to Me- Preparing to Hear From God".  One of the tasks to the contest is to blog about it so hear I am doing my part.

I had heard about this but just now looked into it more.  It is a great sounding Bible Study and if I were to win this I would in some way get it to the women I know.  We could do an online/home/or church Bible study with many Hopewellians or open it up to people online and many more people could be a part of this.  There are endless possibilities.

Below is a brief description of the study.  I know I have had to really discern what God was telling me over the past year and I have grown so much through it.  I want to grow more and learn what Priscilla has to share about this.

He Speaks to Me: Preparing to Hear from God - Leader Kit by Priscilla Shirer

"A common question of many Christians is, "How can I know when God is speaking to me?" Priscilla uses the account of God speaking to Samuel in 1 Samuel 3 to show how God speaks to Christians and how we can discern His voice and position ourselves to respond. In this exciting adventure, participants will discover how God spoke to Samuel, Samuel's response, and how He speaks to believers today; they will be encouraged to listen and respond to God's voice; and by listening to God's voice and obeying Him, women will experience spiritual growth, Christian discipline, and the desire to serve."

5K or bust!!

I am really trying hard this time!  Have many cool things happening in my life and this one will help me stay focused and motivated and get healthy and stay healthy where I need to be.

I have been slowly trying to build up to a 5K.  A woman at my church has done the Couch to 5K and is now on 5K to 10K and I really admire her.  I have done a few runs on the treadmill when I get on but nothing consistent on a weekly basis.  I know it can be done!  How do you runners do it?  How do you stay motivated?  A great pastor friend of ours 'beats his body' and manages to run marathons with his crazy life schedule.  There is absolutely no excuse for me.

My goal is to:

  • Keep doing the Couch to 5K on a regular basis.
  • Kickboxing class at my local Aquatic Center weekly or even a couple times a week.  (Went today and remembered how much I love it.)
  • On the other days do weight training on the machines.
  • Eat healthy again like I know how.  I do not want to be slave to the sin of gluttony.
  • Lastly, "Beat my body".  It is a worthy vessel for the Lord and I need to make it healthy for the Kingdom service.
I know I have many who will pray for me.  Thank y'all!  In return, if y'all are working on these kinds of things, comment and let me know so I can pray for you.

Tyler's Birthday Epicness!!!

This past Sunday was Tyler's 15th Birthday!!! Wow, amazing!  I celebrated alone at 4:30 in the morning when he actually came into the world.  lol  Yep, stayed up making his Special Request Cake Pops.
These are Lego Mini Figure Heads.
These are fun little Smiley Faces.
Gammie and Pawpaw got to try some too!!!
Tanner loved his too.

After church we all went to On The Border for his lunch.  It was pretty fun.  Tyler did the bowl on the head thing.  Don't ask.
Then when they came to sing to him they asked him to stand on a chair.  Hehe, he had to 'twirl' a towel. No, if you know Tyler you know he didn't do much twirling.  lol
We then headed off to Concord Mills for some Birthday Shopping.  He truly enjoyed that.
Was a beautiful finish to a fun weekend.  Before that, Tim officiated his first wedding at Oak Island of two wonderful young people who love the Lord. Congrats John and Heather.
