I have been slowly trying to build up to a 5K. A woman at my church has done the Couch to 5K and is now on 5K to 10K and I really admire her. I have done a few runs on the treadmill when I get on but nothing consistent on a weekly basis. I know it can be done! How do you runners do it? How do you stay motivated? A great pastor friend of ours 'beats his body' and manages to run marathons with his crazy life schedule. There is absolutely no excuse for me.
My goal is to:
- Keep doing the Couch to 5K on a regular basis.
- Kickboxing class at my local Aquatic Center weekly or even a couple times a week. (Went today and remembered how much I love it.)
- On the other days do weight training on the machines.
- Eat healthy again like I know how. I do not want to be slave to the sin of gluttony.
- Lastly, "Beat my body". It is a worthy vessel for the Lord and I need to make it healthy for the Kingdom service.
